Director, ERP Center of Expertise (CoE)

The Director, ERP CoE is accountable for the overall stability, scalability, and value realization of the SAP platform, ensuring the organization maximizes its ERP investment.

Responsibilities

• Sets and enforces technology standards, ensuring they are clearly defined, maintained, and implemented across the organization.
• Provides expert input and facilitates the adoption of technology standards and innovations, supporting successful implementation.
• Translates high-level strategies into actionable technology strategic plans, ensuring alignment with stakeholder requirements and organizational goals.
• Collaborates with executive leadership and key business stakeholders to define and communicate the technology strategy, vision, and roadmap.
• Defines the terms of reference for technology delivery, securing necessary approvals from governance bodies and ensuring stakeholder buy-in.
• Monitors industry trends and technological advancements, assessing their potential impact on the organization and making informed recommendations.
• Ensures that technology initiatives are fit-for-purpose and adaptable, reflecting the evolving needs of a broad range of stakeholders within the organization.
• Champions a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the technology function, encouraging the adoption of best practices and cutting-edge solutions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Provides strategic leadership for the ERP Center of Expertise by defining the ERP vision, roadmap, and operating model, including the adoption of AI and Agentic technologies within the ERP ecosystem, to ensure alignment with enterprise business objectives and long term value realization.
• Leads and develops a high performing team of ERP and SAP professionals while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and disciplined execution to support enterprise-wide transformation.
• Partners closely with business leaders and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable ERP solutions, drive prioritization, and ensure shared accountability for outcomes.
• Oversees the stability, optimization, and continuous improvement of the SAP landscape across functional enablement and the technology stack, including governance, standards, and vendor management.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree such as MBA, MS in Information Systems, or equivalent advanced degree
• SAP certifications (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP RISE, SAP Solution Architect, or relevant functional certifications)
• Ongoing professional development in digital transformation, data strategy, AI, or emerging enterprise technologies

Experience

• 10+ years ERP leadership with SAP S/4HANA. RISE experience is a plus. Experience running an ERP CoE, post go-live stabilization, governance, and value realization. Strong business partnership, vendor management, and ERP innovation using automation, AI, and analytics.
• IT Strategy - Determining the objectives, principles and tactics relating to use of information technology within a particular organization.
• Business Analysis - Analyzing current business state within the context of future business state expectations and determining whether new business strategies are needed to address existing issues or meet new needs. Estimating the level of effort to enhance or expand current business strategies.
• Strategic Roadmapping - The process of determining the actions, steps, and resources needed to take a strategic initiative from vision to reality.
• Requirements Management - The process of documenting, analyzing, tracing, prioritizing and agreeing on requirements and then controlling change and communicating to relevant stakeholders.
• Data Analysis - Measuring and managing organization data, identifying methodological best practices and conducting statistical analyses.
• Digital Transformation - Digital Transformation is the adoption of digital technology to transform services or businesses, through replacing non-digital or manual processes with digital processes or replacing older digital technology with newer digital technology.
• Innovation Management - A combination of the management of innovation processes, and change management.
• Enterprise Risk Management - The process of identifying and addressing methodically the potential events that represent risks to the achievement of strategic objectives, or to opportunities to gain competitive advantage.
• Technology Governance - Managing technology risks effectively and ensuring that the activities associated with technology are aligned with the organization's overall business objectives.
• Agile Methodologies - A project management approach utilized in software development, which is characterized by the division of tasks into short phases of work (known as sprints) and frequent reassessment and adaptation of plans.
