IT Senior Auditor 

Purpose:

Perform audit controls testing and documentation, working paper review and sign-off, report writing, and follow-up of previously reported management corrective actions. Provide IT advisory and consultancy to internal IT and non-IT business partners. Plan and supervise all phases of audit engagements from planning through reporting. Primary focus on IT and cybersecurity engagements including IT General Controls (ITGCs) testing but may include an occasional non-IT audit. Involvement in developing the annual audit plan and participation in ad-hoc projects. 

Responsibilities:

• Plan audit objectives and scope of assigned audits and SOX projects, as directed by Manager and or Sr Lead Auditor.
• Performs audit controls testing, advisory, and consultancy work, documentation and report writing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems owners, external auditors, and outside SOX consultants.
• Ensures previously reported management corrective actions are fulfilled. 
• Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties)

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Information Systems, or related field.

Experience:

6+ IT audit or a mix of IT, Cybersecurity, Information Security, and IT audit experience 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to travel up to approximately 10% San Diego and Texas, as well as to Mexico.
• Proficiency in applying structured approaches and methodologies for conducting IT audits, ensuring thorough evaluation of systems and controls. 
• Expertise in identifying and assessing risks associated with information systems and developing strategies to mitigate these risks. 
• SAP ERP
• Strong understanding of IT General Controls (ITGC) and Risk-and-Control Matrix
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices to assess the effectiveness of security measures and protect against digital threats
• Ability to evaluate and assess network security controls, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending improvements to protect information assets. 
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Licenses and Certifications:

• CISA
• Other IT/Cybersecurity Professional Certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CIA).
